I Used ChatGPT Plus for Some Self-Reflection. It Helped.

What if we used ChatGPT as a personal mental health and wellness support system?

Most use cases of ChatGPT revolve around using it to answer questions, guide thinking and planning, or as a personal search interface.

But what if we reversed roles? What if it was ChatGPT which was made to ask questions of us and we answered them?

This is what I did earlier today by using ChatGPT Plus as a virtual therapist cum business coach cum that worldly friend you can trust to give good advice.

Final Score: 7/10

It took a couple of exchanges to get ChatGPT to stop giving long, verbose responses to my inputs but in the end, I’d give this experience a solid 7 on 10 for effectiveness in helping me self-reflect.

The Opening Prompt

Here is how I started the exchange with ChatGPT Plus.

hey, you’re a very effective and insightful business coach for solopreneurs. You give practical, bite sized advice to help people like me build their business from scratch. You can help me stay focused and on task.

This is a poor way to start actually. I didn’t clearly tell ChatGPT what I wanted from it…
